Accommodations

Reasonable accommodations are available for eligible students with a documentable disability and/or medical condition covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). This act ensures equal opportunity for persons with disabilities to participate in and benefit from all University programs and services.

Requesting Accommodations

It is the student's sole responsibility to initiate considerations for accommodations. An accommodation will not be considered or granted unless the appropriate documentation is submitted; follow the outlined instructions on submitting documentation to the Office of Disability Services (ODS); failure to adhere to these instructions may delay or impede receiving services.

Fees for Accommodations

Students receiving academic accommodations will generally incur no cost. However, be advised that there are some adaptive equipment/ auxiliary aids that the University is not responsible for providing. In these cases, we may need to contact respective local, county, and state agencies for assistance.

Receiving Services/ Turn- Around

The time when services will start will vary for each student based upon individual need. However, once accommodations have been granted, it is the responsibility of the student to complete the required paperwork for the delivery of services. In addition, it is our goal to always respond in a timely manner, but delays may occur due to outsourcing.
