Faculty/Staff
EMORY EMPLOYEES: A HIGH PRIORITY
As an Emory employee, you will find information here that is designed to inform, empower, and encourage you to take advantage of the myriad services available through the Office of Disability Services (ODS).
You are a high priority for us and we look forward to assisting you with access and workplace accommodations. We also work closely with other campus resources to ensure that our efforts on your behalf are the most reasonable and effective solution available. In addition, we promote the concept of universal design whenever and wherever possible.
We believe that ACCESS MATTERS!
Take a look — see what we do, how our process works, what services we offer, and contact ODS as a resource or as a referral.
Registration Process
Each faculty/staff must meet the eligibility criteria, submit valid documentation criteria and complete the registration process in its entirety:
- Self-disclose medical condition to the Office of Disability Services (ODS)
- Indicate accommodation need to ODS (usually at this point, you need to meet with a member of the ODS staff by visiting the ODS office).
In some cases multiple contacts with other key people and resources may be needed in order to develop a successful workplace accommodation agreement. Should your situation require this level of engagement, you will be advised in advance.
Documentation Criteria
To ensure that our procedures are fair and equitable, an accommodation or access (in most cases) will not be considered or granted unless the appropriate documentation criteria is submitted to the Office of Disability Services.
Should you have any questions, please contact ODS at (404) 727-9877 [voice] or (404) 712-2049 [TDD].
